About Us

Our Story

Christine previously founded and managed Nizels Cattery in Hildenborough for 15 years and has built up a wealth of experience and love for cats. When the family moved house, she saw an opportunity to create a new and improved cat boarding experience.

Palehouse Cattery was built from the ground up with the comfort and happiness of our feline guests in mind. Our purpose built facility near Uckfield and experienced staff means you can have peace of mind, knowing that your cats are in safe and caring hands.

Accommodation

Our new purpose built cattery offers the most modern cattery facility available.

Each unit is spacious with its own heater and excellent run size, allowing your cat to laze in the sun on summer days, or keep cosy inside on the rainy days.

Each pen has its own window and outside space, providing plenty of enrichment opportunities. Looking out over either woodland or the garden, each cat can take in views of daily life and wildlife in and around the cattery. We hope your cat will love boarding here.

All units are mezzanine style with a warm inside sleeping shelf. Cosy vet beds are provided for each cat. You are welcome to bring your own bedding or article of clothing as well as it will have familiar smells to help your cat to settle in quickly.

We provide a selection of toys and scratch posts for stimulation (or feel free to bring your own). Individual litter trays are cleaned twice a day.

Single units suit one cat. Double units suit two cats from the same family. All of our units have interconnecting cat flaps which can be unlocked to allow two cats from the same family to socialise when they choose - but also have their own space too. The cat flap can always be locked if they prefer their own personal space!
